Tammy Lynn Vantell of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee

Mrs. Tammy Lynn Vantell, age 60, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Grassy Cemetery in Lexington, AL. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, TN is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on September 19, 1960 in Lawrence County, Tennessee, Tammy was the daughter of the late Hollis Warren Shadix and the late Mattie Ella Wright Shadix. Tammy married James Davis Vantell on October 1, 2001. Besides her work as a homemaker, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Tammy was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Scott Ezell of Lawrenceburg, TN, Justin Vantell of Alaska; daughters: Holly Long of South Carolina, Tarah Huff of Lebanon, TN; brothers: J.W. (Bobbie) Shadix of Lawrenceburg, TN, Rick (Cathy) Shadix of Hattiesburg, MS, Brent (Andrea) Shadix of Atlanta, Ga; sister, Sarah Bolling of Jemison, AL; grandchildren: Tyler Huff, Mattie Huff, Daisy Ezell, Dalton Ezell; and over thirty nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fowler Shadix.
