Tashaun Shirley Sept

Tashaun Shirley Sept, age 45, resident of Columbia, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Born on April 10, 1978, Tashaun was the daughter of the late Eugene Sept and the late Charlotte Washington Sept. She graduated from Spring Hill High School and dedicated her career to making a difference as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), particularly in her work with the mentally challenged.

Tashaun found joy in the simple pleasures of life, relishing moments spent dancing with friends and cherishing quality time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her sister, Tonya (William) Smith of Columbia; brother, Lamiro Sims of MN; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Lockridge; aunts, Erania Taylor of Columbia and Jhathyn Colbert of IL; nieces, Kierra Goodman, Meisha Lockridge, Kenya Lockridge, and Sa-Mya Davis; nephews, Antoine Boyce, Terrance Sept, Telvin Sept, Cyon Sept, and Leslie Sparkman; special cousins, Shekeita Sept and Cynthia Jones; and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tashaun was preceded in death by her grandmother, Shirley Washington; sister, Trina Sept; nephew, James Wright; and uncles, William Washington and Graylin Lee.

A memorial service to celebrate Tashaun's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to Heritage Funeral Home.
