Our loving Terry Lee Zachary was born on December 13, 1953 In Highland Park, Michigan. We were blessed to enjoy his contagious smile, laughter and amazing personality until December 26, 2020. All in Heaven are now experiencing the joy of Terry we all loved and were so privileged to know.
Terry graduated from Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, Tennessee in 1972. Terry graduated with his undergraduate and masters degree from the University Of Tennessee Knoxville in 1979. He was so very blessed with many friends made during these years who continued to be a big part of his life.
Terry worked at RJ Young in Nashville, Tennessee for 25 years and retired in May 2020. Again, Terry made many friends he cherished through the years. Bill, Danny and Frank continued to show their love and true friendships with their incredible help during Terry’s illness. We were truly blessed.
Terry loved growing up in Lebanon, Tennessee with all of his wonderful friends there. Being a COWBOY in his youth was the coolest experience he could imagine! His parents blessed him with the privilege of living out his cowboy dreams by providing him with one amazing horse, Shoelace. Terry and Shoelace were so in sync and worked so hard they won numerous competitions, too many to count. The most amazing-National Horsemanship! We can smile knowing Terry & Shoelace are riding over endless pastures together again.
Terry’s love and passion for Christ was evident by his devotion, volunteer spirit and love of his beloved church of over 27 years, Grace Chapel in Leiper’s Fork Tennessee. Pastor Steve and his beautiful wife Sarah made a huge impact in our spiritual growth for which we will always be grateful. The loving friends that were made through Grace Chapel became family. JuJu & Terry Stutts were with Terry until he was welcomed into Heaven. There are not enough words to thank them for all their help and commitment to our family.
Terry was preceded in death by his beloved father, Kit Zachary and his beloved mother- in-law, Gin Gin Hoppus.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, soulmate and best friend of 33 years, Jamie; most loved and amazing son Joseph (who he was incredibly proud of), his sweet wife Katie; God-sent grandson, Jackson; precious beloved mother, Oleta; loving brother, Timothy; great friend & father-in-law, Jay and his amazing Lebanon Tennessee “Band Of Bothers” Chuck, Jack, Marvin, Skip & Tommy. Terry’s Lebanon guys went “above and beyond “ every week to show their love and true friendship with so much help & support until God called Terry home. Our love for their commitment is immeasurable.
We are excited to celebrate our amazing Terry’s life at Battle Mountain Farm this spring.
