Mr. Terry Wayne Williams, age 70, husband of Mary Luffman Williams, and a resident of Mount Olivet Road in Columbia, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Freedom in Maury Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Army. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on September 23, 1950 in Ferndale, Michigan, Terry was the son of the late Arthur Williams and the late Margaret Bailey Williams. He was a 1968 graduate of Ferndale High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Mary Luffman in September of 1975 and together they had four sons. Terry worked twenty-eight years for General Motors before retiring in 2008. In his younger years he enjoyed riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed classic cars and tinkering with things. Above all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Corey (Jamie) Williams of Columbia, TN, Terry J. (Nicole) Williams of Arizona, Nicholas Williams of Columbia, TN, Christopher (Emily) Williams of Florida; sister, Peggy Williams of Ohio; grandchildren: Taylor, Caden, Allison, Caleb, Rylie, Beckett, Lilah, and Isaac Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Roger Williams, Ronnie Williams; and sisters: Darlene Marovich and Carol Wist.
