Thelma June Brown, 88, resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, September 7 at her home.

Funeral services for June will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, September 13, 2024, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Maurice Hollingsworth officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lynnwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phil Harris, Norman Kranz, Kenny Hanvey, Chuck Martin, Jeremy Filson and Braydon Filson.

Born Sept 13, 1935 in Robertson County, she was the daughter of the late George and Edna Elliot Farmer and wife of the late Kenneth Brown. She was homemaker and a member of Parkway Baptist Church and formerly Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. She loved going to flea markets and yard sales with Kenneth, reading Amish books, going to the beach, playing piano and dominos, and watching golf on TV. But most of all, she loved spending time with both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

June is survived by her son: Kenneth Brown, Jr and wife, Marion; daughter: Denise Collins and husband, Jeffrey; grandchildren: Misty (Jeremy) Filson, Steven Collins, Kendall (Stan) Farrer and Travis Abston; great-grandchildren: Derek Price, Brayden Price, Annalee Price, Kendall and Xavier Farrer and Jax Collins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by daughters: Tina and Lucinda Brown; sister: Betty Jane Kranz and brother: Jeff Ford

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Pleasant Heights Baptist Church Youth at Heart group.
