Mr. Thornton Graham, age 86, a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021, at his residence.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Army. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on January 25, 1935 in Pontotoc, Mississippi, Thornton was the son of the late Alfred Graham and the late Gertrude Watson Graham. He was a veteran of the United States Army and previously worked in maintenance for General Electric. Thornton enjoyed wood working, and as a hobby, he often made patio furniture out of Tennessee red cedar. He loved racing and working on cars and owned a racetrack in Ethridge. Thornton loved fishing and he and his wife, Marcie, often enjoyed setting out trout lines and catching yellow catfish.
He is survived by his son, Lee (Linda) Graham of Alabama and several nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marcie Clifton Graham and daughter, Leta Kay Graham.
