Mr. Tommie Lee Caddell was born on June 5, 1944 in Moundville, Alabama. Tommie was the son of the late Ludie Caddell and the late Pinkie Weatherspoon Caddell.  Growing up working on a farm, Tommie learned to drive a tractor at the age of eleven.  He was a very adventurous person who loved being outdoors.  He had a passion for fishing, but also enjoyed hunting, camping and traveling.  Tommie was a certified welder and Master Mechanic, as well as many other skills, and loved figuring out how to fix anything.

He was a city employee for over 35 years until his retirement. Tommie loved sports, especially college basketball and football and was a Tennessee Titans football fan. Tommie was a humorous person who could make a joke out of anything.  Above all, he loved his family.  Tommie was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of twenty-four years: Veda Burks Caddell; children: Bridget Brand, Anthony Caddell, Tommie Caddell, Jr., T’hani Morris, Ryan Morris, Trenee Caddell, Candett Suddeth, Sky Rogers and Antwaun Burks; brothers: Johnnie (Laurie) Caddell, Frank Isaac Caddell, Bobby (Doris) White, Jackie (Fay) White and Spikey White; sisters: Dorothy Caddell (Henry) Lyons, Maxine Smith, Birdie (John) Matthews; brother-in-laws: James Wendall Trabue, Gregory Burks and Darryl Burks; sister-in-laws: Peggy White, Nadia Benion, and Velda Burks; as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a special aunt Easter Bishop.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Tamyla Caddell; son: Rodney Burks; sisters: Josephine Trabue, Mary Alice White; brothers: Charles and Robert White, brothers in law: Tyrone and Spencer Burks, Drew Smith; and father and mother in law: Nathaniel and Bessie Burks.
