Tommie Stricklin Jarrell

Tommie Stricklin Jarrell, age 79, a resident of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Tim Paul officiating. Burial will follow in Haynes Cemetery in Culleoka. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 16, 1943, in Clifton, Tennessee, Tommie was the daughter of the late Hubert Clay Stricklin and the late Minnie Louise Overton Stricklin. She married Vollie Leroy “Stormy” Jarrell on December 16, 1976; he preceded her in death on December 19, 2012. She loved thrifting and all things Alan Jackson. Above all, she loved her family and was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Tommie was a member of The Church on the Mount in Mt. Pleasant.

She is survived by her children, Melody Jarrell of Lewisburg, TN, Craig (Cathy) McDeavitt of Florida, Jan Clayton (Connie) McDeavitt of Culleoka, TN, Darwyn (Kerry) Jarrell of Mississippi, Kevin (Amanda) Ingram of Culleoka, TN, Dale (Dana) Ingram of Spring Hill, TN, Stacy (Emily) Jarrell of Mississippi, Alicia Jarrell (Chan) McCurley of Mississippi, twenty-nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Rory Lee Jarrell, granddaughter, Taylor Mae Ingram, sisters, Reda Majors, Rachel “Tootie” Nichols, Penny Fisher, and brothers, Burt Stricklin, Elmer Stricklin, and Othael Stricklin.

Pallbearers will be Trey Collier, Trent McDeavitt, Nathan Ingram, Nichols Ingram, Shane Fisher, and Austin Salas.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Hospice Compassus for their care and compassion for Tommie during this difficult time.
