Tommy Haynes Gaskell

Thomas “Tommy” Haynes Gaskell, age 72, resident of Columbia, passed away on Friday May 21, 2021 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 24 ^th at 11:00 AM at Santa Fe Cemetery with Keith Baker officiating.  The family will visit with friends at the cemetery.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Tommy was born in Maury County and was the son of the late Burton Clyde Gaskell and the late Rebecca Sue Hargrove Gaskell.  He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbia.  He had a library of books and loved to read.  He also had a passion for art. He retired from the Charloais Association in Denver, Colorado.

He is survived by his daughter, Libby Gaskell; brother, Bobby (Janice) Gaskell of Santa Fe; two grandchildren; and nieces and one nephew.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin “Eddy” Clyde Gaskell.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
