Vicente Jose Estrella, Jr.

Vicente Jose Estrella, Jr., age 64, husband of Maribel Castillo, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Daniel Reehil officiating. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born on March 26, 1958, in the Philippines and was the son of the late Vicente Jose Estrella and the late Librada Navarro Estrella. He worked many years as a physical therapist for Amedisys Home Health Care in Pulaski. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.

He had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. He was an excellent cook and often enjoyed sharing recipes with others on Facebook. He also loved going shooting with his friends. He was an extremely humble person who had a beautiful soul and never complained. Above all, he dearly loved his family and sacrificed so much for his family here and back home. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Jovimari Estrella and sister, Fara Concepcion Estrella. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marian Cecillia Estrella.
