Vivian Dodd

Vivian Dodd, age 89, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, went to sleep in death on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at her residence.

Born on September 27, 1934, in Saskatchewan, Canada, Vivian was the daughter of the late George Mertick and the late Eva Marmaliuk Mertick. In 1953, she married Ralph Dodd, and together they shared seventy beautiful years until his passing on July 27, 2023. Vivian enjoyed accompanying Ralph in his international travel construction work. For over fifty years, she remained a devoted Jehovah’s Witness.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Joni Holt, brother, Jerry (Pat) Mertick, sisters, Flo Mertick, Becky Mertick, grandchildren, Amy O’Donnell, Shannon Wilson, Nathan Holt, Logan Dodd, nine great grandchildren, and thirteen great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dale Dodd, grandson, Jared Holt, and twelve brothers and sisters.

The family will celebrate her life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
