Mrs. Vivian Hardison, age 76, of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Maury Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 9, 1947, in Vera Cruz, Pennsylvania to the late Roswell Jacob Ortt and the late Margaret Martha (Vince) Ortt. She was a member of the of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Lewisburg.
After graduating from Emmaus High School, Vivian earned an associate degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City before settling in Belfast, TN 1975. She served as the cafeteria manager at Connelly Middle School and later as department store manager at Sullivan’s in Lewisburg. She retired as a configuration specialist at Kantus before relocating to Pulaski.
Vivian was a woman of many talents and interests. Her most beloved pastimes included traveling, knitting, sewing, crocheting, and crafting. She had a special talent for creating homemade cards and soaps that brought joy to those who received them. Vivian had a green thumb and could often be found tending to her beautiful garden, nurturing a wide array of vibrant flowers that filled her life with color and beauty.
Vivian is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Hank” Hardison of Pulaski, and their children: Bridgette Johnson (Stanley) Kimbrell of Pulaski, Jessica Mary (Karsten) Bartling of Cary, NC, and stepson Jason Maury (Heather) Hardison of Culleoka. Vivian’s memory will be cherished by her brother, Bryant (Judy) Ortt of Billings, Montana, and by her adoring grandchildren: Sarah (Lane) Cunningham, Jake Blasingim, Paxton Bartling, Cooper Bartling, Ethan Hardison, and Eli Hardison. Her legacy also continues with her great-grandchildren, Lainee Cunningham and Remi Blasingim.
Vivian Hardison’s fearless heart, creative spirit, and love for her family and friends will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
