Walter Ronald Wix of Columbia, Tennessee

August 19, 1949 - January 10, 2021

Walter Ronald Wix, age 71, resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, January 10 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin.

A military graveside service will be held on February 2, at 2:00 PM at the Middle Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery in Pegram. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born August 19, 1949 in Michigan City, IN, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth Eddins Wix. Walter served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He held many jobs during his life, being a security guard was his latest. George liked to play chess, fish, and hunt. He also watched movies and sports.

He is survived by his sister: Betty Frierson of Columbia; his brothers: James Wix of Howardwick, TX and Ernest Wix of Lakewood, CO; several nieces and nephews.
