Wanda Ann Maye, age 85, a resident of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday morning, June 9, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021, at 11AM at Bush’s Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery on South Tunnel Road in Gallatin with Rick Points officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on January 30, 1936, in Gallatin, Wanda was the daughter of the late Morris Brazzell and the late Margaret Walton Brazzell. She was a 1953 graduate of Gallatin Senior High School and attended Draughon’s Business College in Nashville. She worked many years as the assistant manager of circulation for the Tennessean before retiring in 2004. She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Ricky) Alderson of Williamsport, Sally (David) Derryberry of Pulaski, and grandchildren, Patrick (Amanda) Higgins of Culleoka and Eric Kettles of Fort Collins, CO.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Eugene “Gene” Maye, Jr. on October 9, 2001.
