Waynese Derryberry Hardison, age 77, wife of Jimmy Hardison, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday morning, December 28, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 4-7PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on November 9, 1943 in Maury County, Waynese was the daughter of the late Wayne Derryberry and the late Luthene Littrell Derryberry. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and was a member of Northview Church of Christ. Waynese previously worked for Publix and later retired from Middle Tennessee Bank. She enjoyed walking and gardening and loved roses. Her daughter said that her mom was her very best friend and will always cherish their relationship.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa A. Hardison (Terry) Ervin of Columbia; and grandchildren: Terry Lee Ervin and Hunter James Ervin.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Derryberry.
Pallbearers will be: Skyler Sexton, Jonathan Hickerson, Johnny Steele, Ronnie Merideth, Stan Coffman, Jim Church, and Ben Steele.
