William Bennett, Jr. of Tennessee

April 20, 1926 - March 30, 2019

Mr. William Wright Bennett, Jr., age 92, a resident of Fairview, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Grace Healthcare of Franklin.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Pottete Cemetery in Thompson Station. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on April 20, 1926 in Williamson County, William was the son of the late William Wright Bennett, Sr. and the late Irene Sears Bennett. He was a tobacco farmer who enjoyed gardening and tending to his chickens. He loved music and was an old time musician with all of his brothers. William loved children, and in his past time, he enjoyed playing baseball every Sunday.

He is survived by his sister in law, Sarah Bennett of Fairview and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Woodrow Bennett, Marvin Bennett, Andrew Bennett, Willie Bennett, James Bennett and sisters: Susie Bennett and Mattie Lee Jackson.

Pallbearers will be: Clinton Fly, Brandon Bennett, Rodney Dewire, Tyler Banard, Josh Bennett, Dillon Banard, and Andy Bennett.
