William "Bill" Joseph Stecker

Mr. William “Bill” Joseph Stecker, age 77, husband of Patricia Mund Stecker, and a resident of Lyles, Tennessee, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Ascension St. Thomas Murfreesboro, just two days shy of his 78 ^th birthday.

The family will celebrate his life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on April 18, 1943, Bill was the son of the late Raymond Stecker and the late Margaret Dishaw Stecker. He married Patricia Mund on April 17, 1964, and together they had four children. He worked his entire life as a mechanic and most recently as a courier for Business Delivery Systems. He enjoyed working on old classic and custom cars and was a member of the Southern Street Cruisers car club in Dickson.

In addition to his wife, Patricia of fifty-seven years, he is survived by his children: William John (Angie) Stecker of Waverly, TN, Lynda (Rusty) Byars of Mason, MI, Michelle Adkins (Ken Lane) of Fairview, TN, Denise (Ealon) Matheny of Lyles, TN; brother, Richard Wenzel of Dickson, TN; grandchildren: Joey (Marlee) Stecker, Ashley (Todd) Staples, Brandon Neblett, Jessica Matheny, Faith (Houston) Aho, Jacob Matheny, Lizzie Matheny, Brianna Byars, Ryan Byars, and Dustin Cummins; and great grandchildren: Mason Stecker, James Staples, Violet Aho, and Luke Neblett.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Audrey Dudley.
