William Randall Hardison

November 15, 1957 — February 16, 2021

William Randall Hardison, age 63, a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2021 at the Alvin C. York VA Hospital in Murfreesboro.

A funeral service for William will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 20 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. George Bullock officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 15, 1957 in Columbia, William was the son of the late James Jones and Mamie Alice Hardison. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Tennessee State University in Nashville. William was a member of the 8 th Street Church of God where loved singing in the choir. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a machinist for KASBAR for thirty-four years.

He was formerly married to Birdie Bellafant Hardison with which they had a daughter: Demetria Hardison of Columbia; brother: Brian Hardison of Columbia; sister: Jackie (John) Wilson of Columbia; fiancé: Phyllis Armstrong of Columbia; four nieces, two nephews and a God daughter.
