William Mallian Johnson of Columbia, Tennessee

William Mallian Johnson, age 87, a resident of Theta Community, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020 at his residence.

Funeral services for William be conducted on Wednesday, July 8 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in the Theta Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until service time at Heritage Funeral Home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Born July 22, 1933 in Columbia, he was the son of the late Rosa Johnson and husband of Vera Johnson. He worked as a self-employed painter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: William Johnson Jr. of Alford, FL, Robert Johnson of Spring Hill , Donald Johnson of Columbia, Rosie Johnson of Virginia, Fay Moss of Duck River and Linda Johnson-Chapman of Culleoka; numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, a daughter: Janice Payne and the mother of his children: Maudie Scroggins Morton.
