William Patrick, age 82, passed away Monday morning, December 24, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Mr. William Clifford (Billy) Patrick was born June 15, 1936 to the union of the late Jonas Clifford Patrick and Alice Frances Pillow Patrick. He transitioned from his earthly home to eternity on December 24, 2018.
He was educated in Columbia, Tennessee, and graduated from Carver Smith High School in 1954. William professed his faith at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until the end. William also served in the United States Army and was a dedicated member of American Legion Post 170.
William retired from Occidental Chemical Corporation in 1998 but still remained busy maintaining his farm. Despite his demanding schedule, William found time to be involved in the community and was a member of the Maury County Bridle and Saddle Club and served on the Associate Board of Supervisors for Maury County Soil Conservation District for several years. Additionally, he loved horses and mules, and loved participating in the annual Mule Day festivities.
William was preceded in death by his wives, Barbra Chavers Patrick and Johnnie Mai Joyce Patrick. He is survived by his seven siblings, Vera P. Merritt, Chlora P. (Garfield) Nicholson, Russell F. (Mattie) Patrick, Lena (William) Brown, Barbara P. (Joe) Cornelius, Wayne (Jackie) Patrick, Rickey (Sylvia) Patrick, a maternal aunt, Anna Margaret Primm, a paternal aunt, Geneva Patrick, devoted friend, Joanne Gardner, and a host of relatives, friends, and neighbors.
