William Scribner of Columbia, Tennessee

February 5, 1936 - January 12, 2020

Mr. William Lewis Scribner, age 83, a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 1PM at Maury Memorial Gardens with Gary Garrett officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 5, 1936 in Culleoka, William was the son of the late Joe Scribner and the late Ludie (James) Scribner. He previously worked for the City of Columbia and as a carpenter for many years.

He is survived by his son, Steven Duke; brother, Jim (Gladys) Scribner; sisters: Laura Bell Scribner, Mabeline Scribner, Glennie Scribner; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Scribner; and siblings: Floyd Scribner, Lenzy Scribner, Johnnie Scribner, Jim Scribner, Mattie Scribner, Claudia Danielfield. and Minnie Allred.
