Wilniter Bellafant, age 77, a resident of Romulus, Michigan, previously of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Tristar Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Paschall officiating. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 1:00 – 3:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held on Friday, November 19th at 11:00 AM at Campground Cemetery in Culleoka. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on June 9, 1944, in Maury County, Wilniter was the daughter of the late William Thomas Bellafant and the late Grace Wilkins Bellafant. She was a 1962 graduate of Carver Smith High School and worked thirty years for General Motors before retiring.
She loved going to casinos and playing card games, especially spades, bingo, and was a Phase 10 Champion. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, crocheting and was an excellent cook. Wilniter was a devoted Christian. She was a kind and caring woman who will be missed by those who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Kenyatta Bellafant of Romulus, MI; sister, Hester Woodard of Columbia, TN; brothers, James Bellafant of Columbia, TN and Walter L. Bellafant of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Shanae Coleman, Jordan Bellafant, Bella Bellafant, and Dominique Bellafant, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donitta Bellafant, sisters, Grace Ella Bellafant, Eva Bellafant, Judy Williams, and half brother, Preston Bellafant.
