Zaquan Derek Morris

Zaquan Derek Morris, age 29, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Morgan officiating. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on December 21, 1993, in Warren, Michigan, Zaquan was the beloved son of Heather Coleen Cody Stewart and Shawn Ray (Melanie) Stewart. Known for his humor and infectious laugh, Zaquan had a passion for music, and enjoyed creating his own. He cherished his role as a father, demonstrating a deep love for his children. Zaquan embraced spontaneity and lived life with a sense of adventure. A very giving person, Zaquan would give his last dollar to make sure others were provided for, and even in death, he donated his organs, leaving behind a lasting legacy of compassion and the gift of renewed life for others.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Patty Morris, children, Ryatt Collins, Zaylee Morris, Nevaeh Morris, step children, Kaleb Cox, Jordan Stewart, Aurora Stewart, brother, Justin (Victoria) Bjorn, sisters, Arianna (Javier) Camarillo, Maranda Stewart, Chayla Stewart, step siblings, Austin Davis, Savannah Patterson, Jalen Knight, half siblings, Jessica, Felicia, Alexis, Harley, and Tyler, nieces, Payton Stewart, Makenzie Bjorn, nephews, Nooh Bjorn, Muhammed Bjorn, Hazyn Camarillo, Havi Camarillo, Anhelino Camarillo, and Jibril Bjorn, and many beloved cousins, aunts, and uncles in Michigan, Kentucky, and Florida.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Stephanie Stewart, Morgan Stewart, brother, Shawn Stewart, Jr., and grandparents, Leona Plum, George Cody, Dennis Stewart, and Dianna Japenga.
