Nancy Evelyn Conner, age 63, wife of Timothy Conner, and a resident of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia with Kyle Conner officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on August 4, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, Nancy was the daughter of the late Robert E. Sass and the late Darlene O’Dell Lerfald. She was a graduate of Springfield Local High School in Ohio. Her love for traveling and visiting with people lead her to flight school where she graduated in 2000 and was currently working as a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines. Nancy married Timothy Conner on August 16, 2004. She enjoyed baking, cooking, crocheting, and shopping. Nancy also loved outdoor activities, especially horseback riding and canoeing and was an avid University of Alabama football fan. Above all, she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Gary (Jeannie) Davis of Pennsylvania, Greg (Rachel) Davis of Murfreesboro, TN, step daughter, Raney Conner of Nashville, TN, brothers, Daniel (Olivia) Sass, Bobby Sass, sisters, Debbie (John) Casey, Donna (Phillip) Jones, Cynthia (Tommy) Burns, Ruth (Mark) Sircy, grandchildren, Greg Allen “Bunky” Davis, Jr., Wyatt John Davis, Mason William Davis, Austin James Davis, Jackson Lee Davis, brothers and sisters in law, Jeff & Karen Conner, Teresa & Wayne Lovett, father in law, Cecil Conner, special uncle, Steve O’Dell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Sass, and mother in law, Carol Conner.
