Mr. Ricardo Davidson, age 60, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 23rd at 12:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenny Anderson officiating. The burial will follow at Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 am until the 12:00 pm service at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ricardo was born in Columbia, Tennessee, and was the son of the late William Lee Davidson and the late Mattie E. Davidson. He graduated from Central High School in 1982. Ricardo grew up in Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and worked at J & M Supply Company. Some fondly referred to him as "Slick Rick" due to his mastery of mechanics, and his passion for all things fast, especially motorcycles. Street bikes, dirt bikes, and drag bikes held a special place in his heart. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and cherished the camaraderie of the Oak Park Crew during games and gatherings. However, his greatest joy was being at home with his sons and Jazzy J. Ricardo's warm and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dana Malave’ Davidson of Columbia; children, Tre’ Davidson, Marquis O’Neal (Nicole), and Marquel O’Neal; sister, Jean Davidson of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Xazavion O’Neal and Jazmyn O’Neal; mother-in-law, Patricia Malave’; father-in-law, Richard Malave’; grandfather, Billy Hill; sisters-in-law, Tracy Malave’ and Missy Malave’; brother-in-law, Ernest Moss; nephews, Justin Moss and Ryan Moss; and many cousins.
Ricardo was preceded in death by his sister, Leigh Tanya Moss; nephew, Jason N. Moss; paternal grandmother, Mildred Hill; and maternal grandparents, Thomas and Maggie Neeley.
Ricardo's memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and his vibrant spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to share in his life's journey. We celebrate the life of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. May he rest in eternal peace.
